| The Bible – the beginning of morality and civilization for Judaism, Christianity
and Islam, is the cultural and ethical gift of the Jewish people to the world. Millions
around the world identify with the Bible and its reflection on their spiritual life. The
faith, history and stories that took place here in the Holy land stir the
imagination of hundreds of millions throughout the entire world. Thus the objectives
are: To erect a predominantly unique geographical space to imbue visitors to the site with a completely biblical experience, spiritually, culturally and historically. The geographical and ecological Biblical vegetation; the expression of historical ties to the Bible; the archeological findings; presentations of the cultural and material biblical way of life; artistic design bringing the prophets and man’s moral duties to life; guiding and explaining through the use of all multimedia and technological aids – all that will come together to fill the area with physical and cultural highlights from biblical days. The Bible Valley will serve as a unique educational, cultural and tourist center for all those who identify with the Bible. To enrich visitors and tourists with information and experiences that recall the special character of the original religious, cultural and literary work of the country’s inhabitants – the Book of Books – the Bible. To design a center for the Biblical experience, by developing study walks and routes in the footsteps of Bible stories, artistic and literary displays, various visitor activities centers, events and shows, meeting and listening legends and tales from ancient times. To explore and present the various cultures that were here over the many generations, thereby contributing to understanding and tolerance among people, countries, opinions and faiths. To develop the area as a first-class tourist attraction. To recruit resources to carry out the development plan for planting trees, and educational, cultural and tourist facilities, content and accessories. |
On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, a pivotal community project will be launched, called “Canadians Inscribe The Bible”.
This “Inscribe The Bible Project” is being sponsored by Christians United For Israel-Canada, B’nai Brith Canada, and other organizations, and overseen by the Government of Israel’s Consulate General in Toronto.
The act of inscription will take place in such locations as schools, social forums, houses of worship, professional associations, social clubs, municipal and regional forums, and the like. Our Project Bus will be traveling to dozens of cities to enable people of all ages to inscribe their verse!
Each volunteer who will personally inscribe a Biblical verse in his/her own hand, will be named a Fellow of the Shrine of the Bible. Each individual inscriber will receive a certificate as a Fellow of the Shrine (House) of the Bible.
For this upcoming launch of the “Canadians Inscribe The Bible Project”, we will be holding a Press Conference at Canada Christian College (50 Gervais Drive, Toronto, ON) on December 16, at 12:00 noon. We have invited many dignitaries, both religious and political, to this Press Conference, at which the very first Bible verse will be inscribed—Genesis 1:1. We are inviting all who would like to observe or participate to join us at this Press Conference.

A group of prominent Israelis and other nationals laid the foundation for a very unique and ambitious project called "The Bible Valley” in the Holy Land. The motivation behind the initiative was two fold:
2. creating a bridge between monotheistic civilizations.
In their view the linkage between the Holy Land, the holy books and the peoples who share a common belief in them, is a source of affinity and cooperation, adding to tolerance and peace.
The Shrine of the Bible will be founded as a center of Biblical Studies, as well as a hub for cultural and educational initiatives, which seek to explore the relevance and impact of the Bible values on historical and contemporary human affairs. The staff of this new center will archive, manage, and display the hundreds of manuscripts and Bible volumes, written in many languages, illustrating the ubiquity of the Bible. Each sponsoring organization will be recognized and acknowledged alongside its own inscribed volume. The project encompasses both the Old Testament and the New Testament.
If you would like our Project Bus to visit your church, synagogue, school, professional association, or service club, please contact Dr. John Howarth.
